In her new book, Lean In, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg talks of mentorship, negotiation tactics, and ways to forge a successful livelihood and career.

Prior to her post as Chief Operating Officer of Facebook, Sandberg served as Vice-President of Global Online Sales and Operations for Google, and previously as chief of staff for the U.S. Treasury Department.

Now she’s on Fortune’s list of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Business and Time’s list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World.  Her book is currently on Amazon’s Best Sellers list.

In the 2010 TED Talk video above, Sandberg offers a glimpse into what shapes her perceptions and positions.
